David Regester from Anne Shaw Consultants was engaged by Provident to provide consultancy advice with a particularly complex remuneration project. The company had taken a decision to merge the management structures of two operating companies which required harmonising terms and conditions between them.

David carried out fieldwork with affected managers, senior management and HR to gather views. He then presented a series of costed options and recommendations from which we were able to develop recommendations for the board and internal consultation groups, that were successfully implemented.

David’s knowledge and experience were central to this success. His advice was professional and, above all, practical.  We will certainly use Anne Shaw Consultants again on any future reward projects.

I worked with Jan for a period of approximately six months in order to deliver a leadership development programme to all people managers within our organisation.  I found Jan a real pleasure to work with right from programme content discussions through to co-delivering some of the sessions. 

The programme was positively received by all and some of the theories and learnings from the programme are still being used in the workplace a good 12 months on. 

The overall style of the programme was relaxed and informal but thoroughly informative and proved to be a good basis for the managers to reflect and put into action changes which they felt were required from their own personal perspective.

I first had the opportunity of working with Anne Shaw Consultants in 2002 whilst Head of Organisational Development at the University of Manchester and such was the quality of their support that the relationship is still active and continuing to deliver first class support.  They are, simply, excellent. 

At Manchester they designed and delivered a range of interventions for senior and middle managers, ranging from face to face programmes through one to one consultancy, conflict resolution services, to mentoring and communications.  Their inputs, in design and delivery, were of exceptional quality, with quantifiable benefits to the organisation.

Since joining Citizens Advice in 2005 I have been able to continue this relationship, with Anne Shaw Consultants designing and delivering programmes around change leadership, providing quality mentoring services and, most recently, validating and shaping a new behavioural Leadership Framework aimed at delivering transformational leadership across the service.
